A man has been charged with driving under the influence while operating a riding lawnmower, according to state police.
The incident occurred just after 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 9 near the intersection of Kuntz Lane and Old State Road in Dickinson Township, Cumberland County, police said.
A trooper spotted Brandon King, 26, of Gardners, driving the mower on the roadway and stopped him “for various traffic violations,” according to a news release.
The trooper then discovered that King was intoxicated, police said.
King was also charged with several other summary violations including: driving with a suspended license, failing to keep to the right, running a stop sign, failure to signal, careless driving and alcohol container violations, according to court records.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 18.
