Vandals cut power cord to Coeur d'Alene food truck
COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho -
Unplugging a livelihood to success. Vandals hit a Coeur d’Alene food truck, cutting the power chord. It happened to Nina Mary’s located on Spokane Avenue.
Mary Hayes has been in business for six years but none of it has been easy. “It’s been a struggle,” said Hayes.
But worse, what happened recently that brings back memories. “I came in Monday and the chord in the back had been cut. I thought, ‘Oh no, not again.’ My first thought was, ‘Oh my food!’ So I started looking at the freezer,” said Hayes.
This isn’t the first time. It’s happened at least three other times in the past. To her surprise, the food just thawed out and didn’t actually spoil. She just wants people to watch out. “I just want the people of Coeur d’Alene to kind of keep an eye on us little guys because we’re struggling to make ends meet and we want to bring good food out to you guys and if people keep doing this to us, some of us are going to say, ‘Forget it!’ but I won’t,” said Hayes.
Hayes can only think that whoever did it, might be kids.
