LUBEC, Maine — Two people from Lubec have been charged with felony drug trafficking after police busted a suspected drug den on Dixie Road.
Sharley Fitzsimmons, 51, and Jennifer Wallace, 35, each face a Class A charge of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs, Maine Drug Enforcement Agency indicated Tuesday in a prepared statement.
MDEA, the Washington County Sheriff’s Department and the Pleasant Point Police Department executed a search warrant at a house on Dixie Road on Oct. 12, after investigating alleged drug activity at the home for several months.
“Upon entry [to the house, police] encountered eight people inside, [including] a woman, later identified as Jennifer Wallace, who fled out the back door and was immediately apprehended with a bag of drugs,” MDEA said in the statement.

Wallace was arrested and taken to Washington County Jail in Machias. Because of his declining health, Fitzsimmons was summoned on the trafficking charge and, as of Tuesday, has not been arrested, according to MDEA.
At the home, police seized 50 grams of heroin, 40 grams of powdered cocaine, 8 grams of crack cocaine and $4,750 in in cash that they believe had been used to buy drugs. The street value of the seized drugs is estimated to be $15,000, police said.
