The Chicago Teachers Union’s House of Delegates will hold a meeting to review the proposed four-year contract deal next week.
Members of the House of Delegates will meet Oct. 19 to discuss the tentative agreement, reached earlier this week, which averted a strike.
If the delegates approve, it would send the agreement on to the full membership for a vote. If they reject the offer, the CTU bargaining team would have to go back into negotiations with Chicago Public Schools.
In a news release, the union said it would announce the results of the delegates’ review about 6 p.m. on Oct. 19.
More details to come on this developing story.
