A student is in custody after a Columbia High School home football game was postponed due to a possible threat Friday night.
The game between Columbia and York Suburban High School has been rescheduled at York Suburban at 2 p.m. Saturday.
Columbia School District stated the following on its website:
“We have been informed that the student who made the threat is in custody of the Columbia Borough Police Department and the investigation is ongoing. The District wishes to express appreciation for the decisive action, cooperation, and efficient work of CBPD. The District also wishes to thank and compliment all who cooperated leaving the field in an orderly manner this evening. The game is rescheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, September 17 at 2 pm AT York Suburban High School.”
District officials had received information about the possible threat earlier Friday night. The game was postponed due to safety concerns, the district said.
