Maine State Police arrested a Littleton man after a high speed chase, Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016.

LITTLETON, Maine — On Wednesday, Oct.12, a citizen reported to Maine State Police that Chester Scott, age 27 of Littleton, was operating a maroon minivan on the Foster Road in Littleton. Troopers were aware that Scott had an active arrest warrant and a suspended driver’s license.

According to a Thursday morning press release, Troopers Pescitelli and Sucy went to the area to look for Scott. Tr. Sucy parked near Scott’s residence and waited to see if he would leave. Scott left his residence, driving a maroon 2002 Dodge Caravan. Tr. Sucy exited his cruiser and attempted to flag Scott down. Scott saw Tr. Sucy and accelerated south on the Foster Road. Tr. Sucy attempted to stop Scott using his emergency lights and siren. Scott turned on to the Station Road and reached speeds of 75-80 mph. The Station Road has a 45 mph speed limit. Scott then turned into a gas station on Route 1, where troopers took him into custody.

There were two passengers in the van with Scott.

Maine State Police took Scott to the Aroostook County Jail in Houlton. Police have charged Scott with violating a protection order, eluding a police officer, failing to stop for a police officer, criminal speed, driving to endanger, and operating after suspension.
