Short-handed Broncos drop in on poor-finishing Chargers

Broncos (4-1) at Chargers (1-4)

7:25 p.m. Thursday, NFL Network

Line: Broncos by 3

The Broncos’ nine-game win streak (over two seasons) ended last week when Denver was stifled by its offensive shortcomings. After scoring only three points in three quarters at home against the Falcons, questions remain about the health of quarterback Trevor Siemian’s left shoulder. Rookie Paxton Lynch could be in line for his second start. Denver won’t have coach Gary Kubiak, who was hospitalized after Sunday’s loss with what was called a complex migraine. Former Cowboys special teams coach Joe DeCamillis will serve as interim coach. The Chargers, already 0-2 in the AFC West, continue to find ways to lose late, coming off their fourth second-half blown lead of the season. The Broncos have won nine of the past 10 meetings and five in a row at San Diego.
