CTA Red Line trains were halted early Monday on the South Side due to a medical emergency on the tracks.
Trains were halted shortly before 4 a.m. between 95th and 63rd streets, according to the CTA.
Customers were told to consider using the No. 29 State bus as an alternative until trains were moving again, the CTA said. Shuttle buses were made available to provide connecting service between the stations.
Additional information about the medical emergency was not immediately available.
