Police warn of armed robberies in Bronzeville

Chicago Police are warning residents of armed robberies in the South Side Bronzeville neighborhood.

In two incidents, two men walked up to victims, pulled out a handgun and demanded their property, according to a community alert from police.

One robbery happened about 4 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 3500 block of South King Drive, and the other happened about 6:30 a.m. Oct. 4 in the 3500 block of South Giles Ave., police said.

The suspects were described as two black men between 23 and 25, standing 5-foot-8 and weighing 175-190 pounds, police said. They were seen leaving the two scenes in a blue vehicle with a white stripe and temporary license plates.
