Police are searching for a missing 6-year-old girl this morning after she was last seen in her home Friday night.
Police responded to a missing person call for Brendaly Martinez around 5 a.m. at the 3500 block of Avenue K Saturday. The family said they last saw her on the couch of their home around 10 p.m. Friday before they locked up and went to bed.
When the father woke up around 4 a.m., the front door was open and she was nowhere to be found.
She is about 3 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt and blue jean shorts. She may also be carrying a pink blanket with bear print on it.
There is an active search in the area as police are going door to door and expanding their search for several blocks in all directions around the home.
As of right now, the situation does not fit the criteria for an Amber Alert, police said.
