“Peggy McKenna- Photographer” will be the topic of the Belfast Historical Society’s meeting at 7:00 pm on Monday, October 24, in the Abbott Room at the Belfast Free Library. Kevin Johnson, Photo-Archivist at the Penobscot Marine Museum will present the works of Waldo County photographer, Peggy McKenna. A professional photographer with a focus on the subjective aspect of life, she worked freelance in Maine and New York, for Downeast Magazine, and at the Waldo Independent and Republican Journal newspapers. Peggy photographed thousands of people during her 13 years as a photojournalist. Following her death in May of 2014, her negatives and prints were donated to the Penobscot Marine Museum in Searsport.
