A driver of a pickup truck is dead after a crash on Highway 395 early Saturday morning.
CHEWELAH, Wash. -
Washington State Patrol reports one person is dead after a crash on Highway 395 just before 2 a.m. Saturday.
Troopers report a white 2000 GMC pickup was headed southbound on Highway 395 about five miles north of Chewelah when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and drove into the southbound ditch. The truck hit a power pole and came to rest on its top. The driver, and only person in the truck at the time, was killed on the scene of the crash.
Washington State Patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash.
The name of the driver has not been released pending a medical examiner’s report.
