KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers say a man suffered non-life threatening injuries after he was stabbed by his girlfriend.
Officers responded to the 1400 block of N Park Street where they found the victim. The 42-year-old Kalamazoo man told officers that he was stabbed by his girlfriend at a home in the 400 block of W Frank Street.
When officers arrived at the Frank Street home, they found evidence of the assault, and saw a woman matching the description the victim gave inside the residence. The woman went further into the residence and out of the view of officers.
Authorities entered the home on a search warrant and arrested the 36-year-old suspect on a charge of felonious domestic assault. She was taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail and is awaiting arraignment.
The victim sought treatment of his injuries on his own.
