A 12-year-old girl missing since Thursday was found safe Sunday, according police and her father on Facebook.
Tabitha Tillery was located Sunday afternoon, but no details have been released by the family or police.
“SHE IS HOME!! WE HAVE OUR ARMS WRAPPED AROUND HER RIGHT!!,” James Tillery wrote on Facebook Sunday afternoon. “I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE!! THE COUNTLESS FOLKS THAT VOLUNTEERED THEIR TIME, SUPPLIES, VEHICLES, AND POURED THEIR HEARTS OUT!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU!!”
That ended almost a three day search by police, family members and the community for the Saginaw girl who was seen leaving her middle school Thursday afternoon but did not arrive home.
Tillery was seen leaving Wayside Middle School about 3:30 p.m. Thursday when the school day ended. The school is at Old Decatur Road and Bailey Boswell Road, about a mile west of Saginaw Boulevard.
An Amber Alert was not issued because police do not believe she was abducted.
Police Capt. Russell Ragsdale had said everything suggested that she left of her own free will.
