Messer’s two goals lead Camden Hills girls past Messalonskee

ROCKPORT, Maine — Charlotte Messer recorded two goals to lead the Camden Hills girls soccer team to a 4-0 win over Messalonskee of Oakland on Saturday.

Bryn Anderson had a goal plus an assist while Kristina Kelly added a goal for the Windjammers.

Camden Hills outshot Messalonskee 29-2.

Waterville 7, Belfast 0

At Waterville, Sophie Webb scored three goals and assisted on two others as Waterville rolled to the win.

Anika Elias had two goals and two assists for the 12-0 Panthers. Jordan Jabar and McKenzie St. Pierre added a goal and an assist.

Orono 3, George Stevens Acad. 2

At Orono, Becky Lopez-Anido’s goal in overtime lifted the Red Riots past George Stevens of Blue Hill.

Brinsley Chasse scored the other two goals for Orono and assisted on the game-winner. Kaitlin Richards had seven saves on 12 shots.

Morgan Dauk and Lindsay Nevins had the goals for GSA. Bess McArthur saved 11 of 19 shots.

Caribou 1, Mount Desert Island 0

At Bar Harbor, the Caribou Vikings received a goal from Searra Herbert off a Maddie Doucette assist with 26:44 left in the game for the 1-0 win over Mount Desert Island.

Kerrigan Manter made five saves on nine shots for the Vikings while Cassia Barnes made 15 saves on 20 shots for MDI.

Shead 4, Highview Christian 2

At Charleston, Kiesha Scott and Jacquelyn Cook each scored two goals to lead Shead of Eastport (6-3) past Highview Christia.

Hannah Gonlet and Javona Philbrick each scored for 4-2 Highview.

So. Aroostook 4, Woodland 0

At Woodland, Kylie Vining, Makaelyn Porter, Danielle Libby and Merisa Thibodeau each had goals to lead Southern Aroostook of Dyer Brook past Woodland.

Sydney Brewer saved 10 of 13 shots for the 5-4-3 Warriors.

Sadie Smith saved 19 of 25 shots for 1-10-1 Woodland.

Lee/Stearns 1, Washington Academy 0

At Lee, Andrea Dorame had the game’s only goal in the first half, as Lee/Stearns edged Washington Academy of East Machias.

Kenzie Carter had 15 saves on 19 shots for the Pandas.

Hannah Atcherson saved 11 of 23 shots for the Raiders.

Hermon 7, Ellsworth 0

At Hermon, Alex Allain had two goals and two assists and Brianna Saulter a goal and three assists to lead Hermon past Ellsworth.

Maddie Curtis, Emma Allmon, Allison Treat and Jillian Taylor added a goal and Emi Higgins two assists for the Hawks. Megan Chamberlain and Alexis Homstead combined for four saves.

Callie Hammer had 27 saves for Ellsworth.

Ashland 8, Limestone 0

At Limestone, Morgan Doughty and Mackenzie Carter both had three goals as Ashland defeated Limestone.

Kassandra Nelson and Danni Carter added a goal apiece for the Hornets.

Karoline Dillinbeck had 34 saves on 42 shots for Limestone.

Central 3, Dexter 1

At Corinth, Sydney Allen had a goal and assisted on another as Central beat Dexter.

Abi Allen and Emma Campbell added goals for the 7-4-1 Red Devils. Rachel Smith had three saves on six shots.

Hannah Dorman had the goal for 3-8 Dexter. Reaghan Patterson saved 12 of 18 shots.

John Bapst 2, Foxcroft Acad. 0

At UMaine, Gracie Philippon had a goal plus an assist while Tia Zephir had a goal in John Bapst’s win over Foxcroft.

Kayla Massey recorded the shutout in goal for the 9-2-1 Crusaders.

Foxcroft fell to 4-7.

Penobscot Valley 6, Schenck 0

At East Millinocket, Lexi Ireland racked up four goals to lead Penobscot Valley of Howland past Schenck.

Laney Harding and Judy King added goals for the Howlers and Tori Watts three assists. Paige Thibodeau and Lyndsay McKenie had one save on two shots.

Allison Noddin saved 13 of 23 shots for Schenck.

Presque Isle 3, Old Town 1

At Old Town, Madison Michaud had two goals to lead Presque Isle past Old Town.

Libby Moreau added a goal for the Wildcats.

Sage Phillips had the lone goal for Old Town.

Boys Soccer

Mount Desert Island 5, Caribou 0

At Bar Harbor, Joe Grubb had a goal plus an assist as Mount Desert Island defeated Caribou.

Adam Bygdeson also had a goal and an assist for MDI, as did Joe Grubb. Trevor Morrison added a goal for the Trojans.

Bangor Christian 6, Sumner 0

At Bangor, Erik Gorczok had two goals and two assists and Tyler Welch two goals and one assist to pace 12-0 Bangor Christian past Sumner of East Sullivan.

Parker Shaw and Tyler Lehman added goals for the Patriots. Austin Keib faced just one shot and didn’t have to save it.

Issiac Christiansen saved 11 of 28 shots for 4-7 Sumner.

Washington Acad. 8, Lee 1

At Lee, the Raiders jumped out to a 5-0 lead by halftime en route to a win over Lee Academy.

Manzi Yves, Dyne-Jha Hayward and Oneko Lowe had two goals apiece for the 10-0 Raiders of East Machias while Manuel Sanchez and Davidson Kogoya added a goal. Josh Vose and Gabe Georgantis combined for five saves on 10 shots.

Randy McLeod had the goal for 5-5-1 Lee. Mike Noyes and Randy Knowles combined for 21 saves on 35 shots.

Limestone 2, Ashland 0

At Limestone, Alex Sprague and Tommy Pinette had first-half goals to lead Limestone past Ashland.

Mathew Pelkey saved all seven shots for 5-5 Limestone.

Daniel Wortman and Stephen Bellanceau combined for seven saves on nine shots for 7-3-2 Ashland.

Presque Isle 4, Old Town 1

At Old Town, Griffin Guerrette netted two goals while Josiah Morse had a goal and assist to pace Presque Isle’s win.

Randon Mortland also had a goal plus an assist for Presque Isle. Jason Dumas and Pat Cash combined for five saves on six shots.

Jacob Ketch scored for 3-8 Old Town while Austin Sheehan saved 17 of 21 shots.

JV: PI 4-1

John Bapst. 3, Foxcroft Acad. 2

At Orono, Paul Branch scored a pair of goals and Alvaro Valls enabled the John Bapst Crusaders from Bangor to improve to 11-1.

Chandler Rockwell and Ryan Cary scored for Foxcroft Academy.

Central 8, Penquis 0

At Corinth, Caleb Shaw knocked in four goals as Central rolled past Penquis of Milo.

Yosef Worster and Andrew Speed netted two goals apiece for 10-1 Central. Gage Poulin and Micah Ward combined for three saves on four shots.

Justin Valvo saved 10 of 20 shots for 3-6-1 Penquis.

Field Hockey

Dexter 5, Mattanawcook Acad. 1

At Lincoln, Hayley Rossman and Grace Belanger had a goal apiece to lead Dexter past Mattanawcook.

Abby Webber added a goal for the 10-2 Tigers. Shawnee McNally had four saves on 10 shots.

Kim Voisine had the goal for the 5-7 Lynx. Madison Page saved eight of 18 shots.

Central 1, Hermon 0

At Corinth, Brianna Butler had the game’s lone goal for Central as it beat Hermon.

Morgan Chase had the assist for Central while Makayla Boudreau had six saves on eight shots.

Brooke Morgan saved four of eight shots for Hermon.
