A man was killed in an Englewood neighborhood drive-by shooting Thursday afternoon on the South Side.
At 2:36 p.m., the 28-year-old was walking in the 1100 block of West 57th Street when a vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.
The man was shot in the head, and was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the fatality, but did not provide additional information.
Area South detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
