A man was shot to death Tuesday afternoon in the East Side neighborhood.
About 4:45 p.m., the 22-year-old was outside in the 9400 block of South Ewing when he heard shots and realized he’d been hit in the side of the torso, according to Chicago Police.
He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he later died. Police said the shooting likely was gang-related.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released the man’s name.
