The police chief of Johnstown has been placed on administrative leave after one of his officers allegedly overdosed inside the city’s public safety building on Sept. 18, according to a Tribune-Democrat report.
Faust was placed on leave Thursday as a precaution, but the city’s solicitor would not provide additional information on the matter, according to the report.
State police are investigating the incident.
It was immediately unclear which drug caused the overdose.
The state police were called in at the request of JPD to ensure an independent investigation.
