Craft & Cork, Hudson Oaks’ newest event, celebrated its second year bringing together wines from around the world, award winning craft beer, great food and music to event attendees.
“This is double of what we did last year,” said Hudson Oaks City Administrator, Patrick Lawler. “Last year we did a little more than 700 and this year – just over 1,400. It’s a great event for us and we’ve had great support.”
The event on Saturday saw 41 wines from Texas, California, Washington, Argentina, France, Germany, Italy, New Zealand, and South Africa, and more than 30 craft beers from across the country. Hors d’oeuvres were provided by Blue Stem Grill, Fixture Kitchen, Boo Ray’s, Blue Jasmine and more. Musical entertainment was provided by the Royal Dukes.
New for 2016 was a designated-driver service called “SafeRide,” which proceeds benefited the Weatherford ISD Class of 2017.
The festivities were at Gene Voyles Park and sponsored by Schrick’s, Boo-Rays, Keg One, and Plains Capital Bank, with additional support by Texas Lawns, Central Market and NextLink.
