Through October 16, Maine College of Art, 87 Free St.
My work draws from my personal history, traditional craft processes, and the saturated palette of commodity products. Both the natural world and the commercial mundane influence my process, inspiring my choice of materials, color, and composition. The work itself holds the residue of these influences and contributors, but transcends them by creating a bizarre world blending formal and fantastical elements, and raising questions about material, genre, and function.
