Fans of the Blue Hill Public Library and live music will doubly rewarded when they participate in the Library’s “Fall Ball” fundraiser with music by Brooksville’s Soulbenders. The community is invited to dig out their best flannel and join in the festivities at the Bay School’s Emlen Hall on Saturday, November 5th, 7:00 to 9:30 PM.

The event includes a celebration of “all things BHPL” with a cider and dessert bar and cozy winter themed “pick-a-prize” raffles featuring local goods and services. One raffle prize includes a chance to be a back-up singer with the band for one song. This event also celebrates the newly installed generator that will see the Library through power outages all winter.
Doors open at 6:30, music starts at 7:00. Tickets are now available ($15/person, kids 12 & under/$5) at the Library and on bhpl.net.
“Our fall fundraiser has always been a fun event that kicks off the giving season, and as things quiet down, we like to put the focus back on the community,” says Rich Boulet, library director. “The Soulbenders are an amazing band and we’re excited to have them perform.”
Plaid chic is encouraged and all proceeds benefit the Library. The Blue Hill Public Library opens doors to information, culture, community and the world. Serving over 7,500 patrons a year, the bulk of its funding comes from patron donations. This event is sponsored by The First. For more information, contact the Library at 374-5515
