Frost advisory issued for midstate and beyond

Overnight temperatures will make summer seem like a distant memory as a frost advisory has been issued for much of the midstate and beyond.

With temperatures dipping to the low-to-mid 30s overnight, the advisory, which will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Tuesday, covers the following midstate counties:

  • Adams.
  • Cumberland.
  • Dauphin.
  • Franklin.
  • Lancaster.
  • Lebanon.

The cold temperatures could damage sensitive vegetation, the National Weather Service at State College said. Potted plants should be taken indoors overnight, according to the NWS.

Tuesday, expect sunny skies and a high of 63.

Tuesday night will be partly cloudy, with a low of 44.

Wednesday, look for mostly sunny skies and a high of 67.
