The fall of 2016 offers Southlake-area homeowners the ideal conditions to list homes for sale. Competition among buyers for well-priced listings is heated, with multiple offers common in many neighborhoods, according to Carolyn Rosson, sales manager of the Southlake office of Ebby Halliday Realtors.
“The latest numbers from North Texas Real Estate Information Systems make a very compelling case for those homeowners who are trying to decide whether now is a good time to list their home,” said Rosson. A few of the highlights from the NTREIS numbers for August 2016 include:
• The average number of days a home was on the market was only 37.
• The number of homes for sale was down 10.6 percent over August 2015.
• Finally, the average sales price was up 8.1 percent over August 2015.
“It’s truly a great time to list a home for sale in Southlake and the surrounding area,” said Rosson. “We are seeing an influx of buyers and well-priced homes are selling quickly.”
