A Spokane woman is upset after four of her bikes are stolen from her garage.
Katherine Widing says this happened in the alley between Adams and Jefferson near Huckleberries.
Surveillance video shows the crooks arriving around 2:45 a.m. Saturday in a car, prying open the garage door, and stealing two foldable bikes (Bike Fridays World Tourist model) and a Women’s Trek 7500 bike, along with some tools. About an hour later, the video shows another thief walk through the alley, noticing the open garage door. He takes the last bike, a men’s Breezer Liberty bike.
Widing is especially upset because cycling is a part of her and her husband’s lifestyle. They’ve taken those bikes everywhere, and use them for their commute. She hopes that she can get them back.
She says they have the serial numbers for the bikes, and have also registered them online. She also recommends registering them with Spokane C.O.P.S. Registering your bikes helps reunite owners with their stolen bikes. (https://my.spokanecity.org/account/registrations/bicycle/)
Widing also gave KHQ a description of the car:
– American made such as Chevrolet, Ford, Dodge
– Possibly a newer model car, looks like maroon color.
– 5 spoke rims
– No spoiler
– Chrome around all side windows on driver/passenger side
