STURGIS, Mich. (WOOD) — Deputies are investigating after cows belonging to a Michigan lawmaker’s father were allegedly shot and killed.
Scott Miller, the father of state Rep. Aaron Miller (R-Sturgis), told 24 Hour News 8 that three of his cows were shot on family property.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department says the shooting happened in the 27000 block of Banker Street Road in Sturgis sometime between Oct. 8 and Oct. 10. It’s unclear who was behind the shooting or a possible motive.
