Police in Scranton said they had to Tase a woman who advanced on two officers while wielding a knife and yelling in Spanish.
According to the Times-Tribune, 34-year-old Gretchen Torres-Ortiz threatened the officers Wednesday night when they responded to a report that she had been punching her boyfriend in the face.
Torres-Ortiz pulled the utility knife when an officer tried to grab her arm to keep her from going back into her apartment, police said. They said she got within three yards of one of the officers before he used his stun gun.
That knocked Torres-Ortiz to the ground and she was cuffed and charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, simple assault and harassment, police said.
