Police arrested a man after they said he fired gunshots that struck two houses and a vehicle in Lancaster Monday afternoon.
Zeyquan L. Sanchez, 20, of Columbia, Lancaster County, fired the shots in the 600 block of George Street and fled on foot at about 3:15 p.m., police said.
The houses that were struck were occupied at the time; no one was in the vehicle damaged by bullets, however, according to police. No one was injured in the incident, police said.
After speaking with witnesses, police said they were able to verify that Sanchez, who has san outstanding warrant out for his arrest for missing a court date, fired the gun.
Police said following the incident, investigators learned that Sanchez likely went to a home in the 500 block of Walnut Street in Columbia.
Columbia police, assisted by the Lancaster County SERT and CID teams served a warrant on the home and arrested Sanchez there early Tuesday.
Sanchez has been charged with nine counts of aggravated assault, persons not to possess firearms, carrying a firearm without a license, two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure and nine counts of recklessly endangering another person. Sanchez was awaiting arraignment on the charges Tuesday night.
