Casco woman in crash taken to Lewiston hospital

NAPLES — A Casco woman was flown from a crash scene in Naples to a Lewiston hospital Saturday after the vehicle she was driving struck trees and was enveloped with flames.

Ruth Bliss, 48, was driving on Route 11 at 2 p.m. on Saturday when the 2003 Chevrolet Suburban SUV she was driving crossed the centerline, left the roadway and crashed into several trees, according to a statement released by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
