HOPE, Idaho -
Saturday night, Bonner County Sheriff deputies responded to suspicious death of a 50-year-old male at a home in Hope, Idaho in the Spring Creek area. The Bonner County Sheriff’s office has confirmed they are investigating the death as a homicide. The suspected cause of death is blunt force trauma.
The suspect is Linda Provo, also in her 50’s. It’s not clear what the exact relationship between Provo and the victim was but authorities tell us they had responded to the home numerous times for domestic violence disputes.
Provo was apprehended early Sunday morning in the city of Ponderay where police believe she was hiding out. Authorities tell us Provo is being held in the Bonner County Jail. At this point they are not ruling out self-defense but they also said that Provo is currently not cooperating with authorities.
The name of the victim will be released once all family members have been notified.
