Bears wide receiver Kevin White will have surgery this week to repair a spiral fracture in his left fibula, coach John Fox said Monday.
White broke his non-weight-bearing leg bone and suffered a high ankle sprain eight days ago against the Lions. He was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
White is eligible to return to practice in five weeks and games in seven. The Bears can only return one player from IR, though, and cornerback Kyle Fuller is on the list after having arthroscopic knee surgery in the preseason.
