Gunfire at the same place a 7-year-old girl was wounded during a drive-by shooting last week sent two men to the hospital Sunday night, CBSDFW.com reported.
Police did not comment on what led to the shootout that happened about 9 p.m. outside the TMA grocery store on South 2nd Avenue near Fair Park, according to the news site.
The Dallas police gang unit is looking into whether it might be gang-related, Fox4 News reported.
It’s the same site where a 7-year-old girl was shot in the chest in a drive-by on Thursday. She is recovering from her wounds and is expected to survive, according to WFAA-TV.
It’s unclear if Sunday’s shooting is connected to Thursday’s drive-by, but police say they believe the child and her father involved in that shooting were in the line of fire rather than the targets, according to CBSDFW.com.
After that shooting, neighbors told WFAA that a more visible police presence is needed in the area.
The condition of the men in the latest shooting has not been released, according to the news organization.
